Jubilate!

Is a Christian Choir for students of the University of Virginia. Consisting of both undergraduate and graduate students, the choir allows students from a variety of backgrounds to experience the joy of joining voices and spirits in song. We welcome Christians of all denominations, Piedmont Virginia Community College students too! For more information go to: <Jubobrochure>

English Classes for Internationals starting September 12 ~ Sunday Mornings, 9:45-10:40 a.m., in the fellowship hall. All classes are free, but pre-registration is helpful for new students, either by calling University Baptist Church at 293-5106 or by emailing <tleland@universitybaptist.org>. Child care provided. Faith and Justice Luncheon

Fellowship or Bible Study? Which of these is the primary reason people attend or join a Bible study class? Well, the obvious answer is both. God created us for “relationships” and our desire to connect with people is very important. God gave us His word and our desire to study and apply the word in our lives is very important. If you don’t attend Sunday Bible study at UBC, why don’t you give it a try this year. If you do attend, invite someone to join. Mission Project for the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women.

We are now collecting toiletries for the women at FCCW. It is critical that you not vary from this list nor exceed the size limits for any product. The indicated weights are the MAXIMUM for each item (please get as close to that weight as possible WITHOUT GOING OVER). All items should be put in a gallon-size zip lock bag, and brought to the stage in the church Fellowship Hall.

Cards, Postage, Pencils

This fall we will begin collecting all-occasion greeting cards, Christmas cards, postage stamps, and pencils for the FCCW. Begin gathering these things, and we'll let you know when to bring them to church.

Choir Opportunities

As the new church year dawns, now is a great time to come join a choir! In either our Preschool Music, Genesis Choir, Children’s Chimers, Chapel Choir, Sanctuary Choir, or Sanctuary Bells, we have a place for you! Click on "Music" in the index at left for a complete listing of music opportunities.

The Sanctuary Choir and Jubilate will join forces the first Sunday in November (Nov. 7) to present “Requiem” by John Rutter. Please put this on your calendar and plan to share this special service with us!

Worship Service on Radio and Online

Each week our 11:00 a.m. Worship service is broadcast on WINA 1070 AM radio. If you miss that you can still hear our service, it is posted on the Worship page of our Web site each Tuesday afternoon.
