Deacon Family Ministry
Our deacons are the spiritual leaders of our church called out to serve and minister to our congregation in a more formal way. Every member of our church is assigned to a deacon as part of our Deacon Family Ministry. This ministry aims to ensure the spiritual, physical, and emotional health of our congregation as members are periodically contacted by our deacons to see if there are any ministry concerns and needs to be met.

UBC Health Ministry
Our church is blessed to have a Health Ministry. The aim of this ministry is for wellness in body, mind and spirit through health education, care-giving and the healing message of the Christian gospel. The Health Ministry team offers the following services to members
- Making phone calls and home visits to offer support during times of illness, grief, or other suffering.
- Providing information on health promotion, disease prevention, and health/illness management.Holding classes and clinics, such as blood pressure screenings, in response to the assessed needs of the congregation.
- Providing transportation for doctor visits and medical treatments.
- Offering assistance to hospital patients before and after surgery.
- Serving as a patient advocate.
- Providing referrals to pastoral ministries, congregational resources, and community services.
- Counseling for individuals who have personal health concerns.
- Focusing on the relationship between spiritual and physical well-being.

Wednesday Morning Work Team
We have a group of active retirees who gather each Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00, to tackle the repair and upkeep projects around the church. If you would be interested in working with this team to keep our church in top form please contact Ed Smith, 973-5525.
