Twentysomethings Update

We're trying something new! Join Us Saturday evenings.

After conversations with many of our long-time Twentysomethings Class members, we have decided to try a new meeting time for a while and see how we like it. We'll meet in classmates' homes, have dinner together, and then a time to discuss what's on our minds or just spend time together after dinner. Check the most recent update link below for the current week's location or call Mike Smith at 973-4836. We hope you will join us Saturday evening! Everyone is welcome! And bring a friend if you like.

We will not meet Sunday mornings but we hope you will join us at church for worship at 11 a.m. Several members of the class usually go to lunch together after worship on Sunday so please look for the group assembling near the back of the church and join the group!

Our "Twenty Somethings" group consists of graduate students and career young persons in their 20s and early 30s. (No, we won't card you to make sure you were born after 1974!) This group consists of singles and young married couples, many of whom have a spouse who is enrolled as a graduate student at the University of Virginia. They seek to provide a community of care and support for each other as they endure the rigors of graduate school and life in the "real world." This group gets together for pot-luck dinners, Bible studies, fellowship outings, and service projects. They've taken weekend retreats to the Blue Ridge Mountains and to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. They've enjoyed shopping trips to Potomac Mills, plays at the KennedyCenter, and hiking on RagMountain. They've also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, Love, INC (Love in the Name of Christ), OIAM (Operation In As Much), and PACEM (People and Congregations Engaged in Ministry).
