Don't be exploited by scam artists!

Sad as it may be, Easter is a time that scammers return to prey on church members.

Remember, we will never ask you to send money or gift cards directly to us. Any communication from our ministers, the staff, or our leadership will come from a “@universitybaptist.org” address. If something looks suspicious or doesn’t make sense, call the office at 434.293-5106. Don’t fall for any of it!

Be on the lookout for suspicious emails and phone calls that might appear to come from a trusted source. Remember, you can look at the sender’s details – specifically the part of the email address after the ‘@’ symbol – in the ‘From’ line to see if it looks legitimate. It sounds scary, but it doesn’t have to be. Always ask if something sounds questionable and donate using our secure giving page or the offering boxes on Sunday morning.
